Capital punishment
Don’t be a twit and TYPE EVERYTHING IN CAPITAL LETTERS – this is generally taken as shouting and is heavily frowned upon, whether on a forum or in an email.
It also makes what you’ve written far more difficult to read. The human eye finds it much more comfortable to read lower case, with all the ascenders (the bits above the main line of text in letters like b, d, h, k, l and t) and descenders (g, p, q and the rest).
So don’t just switch your caps lock on – only use capital letters when they’re called for, such as at the beginning of a sentence, in a name or in an abbreviation. (More on this soon…)
