After several years of running interactive websites, we’ve been amazed at how often some people’s behaviour on the Internet has caused bewilderment, frustration or even good old-fashioned rage in others. Sometimes it’s a breach of the common rules of Netiquette; sometimes it’s a failure to write clearly and understandably. Whatever the cause, there’s no doubt that twittish behaviour on the Internet can really wind people up!

But not all the twits are people who are too arrogant to take the time to find out what the rules are and apply them. There are many perfectly decent people out there who would like to “play nicely” on the Internet, but find it confusing or daunting, or who would like to write proper English but who just weren’t taught the rules at school. If you’re one of these decent people, this website is for you.

We’ll be looking at some of the things that get up other Internet users’ noses the most. Rather than providing an in-depth guide all at once, we’ll take them one by one and keep it simple. If there’s a particular issue which you’d like to look at in greater depth, please join in and comment on the blog posting you’re interested in.

We hope you’ll find this interesting, enjoyable and useful to read. Have fun!
